Please Read before Using this Application
This is a demo application on how to use STORK 2.0 facilities in order to open a cross-border account; that means an account in a Bank located in a different EU country from the applicant's country. To access and use this application, please follow this link - http://cosign.ddns.net/OBA/SitePages/OBA_cbApplyNow.aspx The application has been developed by the University of the Aegean i4M Lab, as a part of STORK 2.0 Pilot Activities. The application simulates the process of Opening a Bank Account cross-border (OBA-cb) with an hypothetical bank located in Greece, UA Bank Direct. Obviously, this is only a demonstration, don't expect to open a real bank account with UA Bank Direct.
What do you need to apply!
A connection to the Internet, a browser in your PC, and your eID credentials! (no matter what EU/ EEA country is the issuer of your eID).
Apply from your PC, in Six Steps!
The application starts with a "public" part, a series of public e-Forms that should be used to submit a request and identify through STORK 2.0. The very first e-Forms are informative and allow you to quickly get the necessary information you need in order to make a decision about opening an account with UA Bank.
> Easy Start!
1. The essential part of the application begins with the "Request an Account" e-Form.
2. When you complete the "Request an Account" e-Form, you tell us which is the country of your origin and, you are automatically being transferred to the Identity and Attribute Providers (IdPs and APs) you are working with (in your country), via STORK 2.0 pan-european infrastructure.
- By using this trusted, STORK 2.0 process, UA Bank collects a number of identity attributes we request for submitting an application to Open a Bank Account (OBA) with us -- acting under your consent.Since we refer to STORK 2.0 infrastructure to automatically collect your identity attributes, we do not need a paper document to tell us who you are. The information we receive is trusted and credible!- Your Identity Attributes to be collected via STORK 2.0 infrastructure are: Name, Surname, Date of Birth, Place of Birth (POB), Gender, Fiscal Number, Residence Address
3. When returning to our IT premises, you are landed to the "Personal Details" e-Form, that helps you provide us with additional personal information.
At this point, the first part of your application is ending. Next, you will receive an email and SMS with the necessary credentials (username and password) to continue on the second part of the application, which gives you the possibility of digitally signing and submitting the requested (by our Services) Registration Documents.
(* preparation action) Please collect and prepare pdf copies for the following five (5) documents:
- D1: ID document (passport, ID card, Residency card)
- D2: Recent Income Tax Return Document (or Fiscal Declaration)
- D3: Employment Certificate
- D4: Example of your signature on a blank paper
- D5: UA Bank - Terms and Conditions document (You should download this pdf document from here, sign and submit as you will do with the rest of the Registration Documents. "Terms and Conditions" define the framework governing the use of an UA Bank Direct account.
> Come Back!
4. (following the instructions you have received by email) You are now ready to login to our services by using the username and password we issued for you.
5. After successful login, you automatically access an e-Form ("Type of Signature" e-Form) that allows you to select the type of signature you will use in order to digitally sign the requested Registration Documents (.pdf)
6. Then, you will be able to online submit the requested documents (e.g. the pdf files you have already created), and sign them digitally, so to give a legal validity to your action. In order to upload and sign pdf documents, you are being offered with two possibilities: Either you use your own signature (via STORK 2.0 signing facilities), or proceed through an One-Time-Signature provided by the application itself. Full Instructions, depending on the signature type: please click here (page: ). Please notice that you have 6 hours to submit the requested documents and complete the application process. If this period expires without submitting documents, your application will be cancelled.
After you Apply Online...
The successful (online) submission of the Registration Documents is the last step of the process (the process end with such an e-Form). Your request for opening a new bank account with UA Bank Direct will be reviewed quickly. Then, you will receive a notification message, via email, with the response of UA Bank Direct services to your request.
(only for a Bank IT staff) The application allows to manage customer requests as they come in.
The Bank employees are provided with a Task Management System that allows them to manage individually each request, frame the decision-process and, immediately inform the customer (via email) after a decision about offering a new cross-account to a particular customer (or refusing such a request) will be taken (the following pictures illustrate the functionality of this interface: Task List, Customer Request Document).
